Lyrics
|
I see a different horizon beyond the sight of man
And there’s another direction I want to understand
There is a new dimension just beyond our reach
But we can’t listen to what they have to preach
Now that we’re able, let’s make a solid try
To see what’s out there beyond the sight of our eye
You know it’s out there, waiting to be found
A certain touch of something that never makes a sound
It’s all around you, feel it is at it surrounds you
It’s what we’re made of: it always connects us all
Are there other dimensions beyond the realm of sight?
Will there be new inventions that won’t be used to fight?
We’ve got to seek perfection, complete the work of man
We’ve got to seek direction, and do it while we can
You know it’s out there, just on the edge of sight
A New Horizion, beyond the drifting light.

Description
|
Story Behind the Song: Joe's words: New Horizon - Originally called "Sequencer" (although I can't recall why), this was drummer Bob Smolka's lyrical contribution to our first recording; I contributed a verse or two, but it's mostly his work. A paean to the space program, mainly, with a lot of tempo changes and some odd time signatures.
